Luke Shaw enjoyed a fun game of mini golf with his mates on Monday less than 24 hours after his first taste of a facing boyhood club Chelsea as a Manchester United player.
The England international produced a solid performance against the Blues as the 19-year-old showed plenty of adventure to pour forward from his left-back position.
Shaw’s team-mate Robin van Persie scored a stoppage-time equaliser to rescue a point for the home side after Didier Drogba had bagged the opener at Old Trafford.
And the full-back, who moved to United in a £27m deal from Southampton in the summer transfer window, posted a photo from his golf day on Instagram.
“Fun game of golf at #pladventuregolf with my best mates!” Shaw wrote.
Earlier on Monday, Shaw praised “world-class” goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and David De Gea after their respective performances at Old Trafford.
“If you look at David’s save just before their goal, it was a world-class stop and I think, in the past few weeks, with what he has been doing, it’s amazing to see him come into form like this now,” Shaw told United’s website.
“We’ve seen what Courtois has done in the past six months, not just for Chelsea but before that [with Atletico] so we know what his qualities are and he’s proved to be a great buy for them.
“We had a lot of chances and, with him in goal, he helped them a lot. Robin had a few and I think it might have been Adnan [Januzaj] who had a shot as well.
“There were those chances but he’s a world-class goalie in their goal and he helped them a lot.”
