Mario Balotelli took to Instagram after “finally” ending his goal drought on Tuesday night.
The Reds striker scored an 86th-minute equaliser to cancel out Swansea City forward Marvin Emnes’s opener in the Capital One Cup fourth-round tie at Anfield.
It was Balotelli’s first goal in eight games after the Italy international had scored his inaugural Liverpool goal against Ludogorets last month.
The 24-year-old’s close-range finish against Swans prompted a late comeback as centre-half Dejan Lovren headed a stoppage-time winner.
And Balotelli, who joined the Reds in a £16m deal from AC Milan in the summer transfer window, was thrilled to end his goal drought.
“Yooo! Finally,” Balotelli wrote on Instagram after the 2-1 win.
The former Manchester City striker is still waiting to score his first Premier League goal for Liverpool since his Anfield move.
The Champions League winner scored 20 goals in 54 top-flight appearances during two-and-half seasons at Etihad Stadium.
