Oscar has declared that he is proud to be part of the current Chelsea side.

The Blues are four points clear at the top of the Premier League table after an impressive unbeaten start to the season.

Chelsea booked their place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup on Tuesday night courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town.

And Oscar was in a good mood on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon as he reflected on his role in Jose Mourinho’s current outfit.

Didier Drogba, who captained Chelsea for the fourth-round tie as John Terry dropped to the bench, broke the deadlock with a brilliant 48th-minute strike.

However, the League Two opponents struck back with 13 minutes remaining through second-half substitute Andy Mangan, who finished from close range.

But Jose Mourinho’s side restored their lead with nine minutes remaining when Jermaine Grandison inadvertently directed Willian’s cross into his own net.

Drogba posted on Instagram: “Difficult conditions, great opposition team but we still showed great spirit to qualify for the next round. Well done to @oscar_emboaba @johnterry.26 @hazardeden_10 @domsolanke @willianborges88 @petrcech @mosalah22 @andreschuerrle @filipeluis”
