Oscar is looking forward to the visit of Shrewsbury Town in the League Cup
Oscar isn’t taking League Two opposition for granted as the Chelsea forward declared that he is “ready” for the trip to Shrewsbury Town in the League Cup.
The Brazil international played 67 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford before being replaced by midfielder John Obi Mikel.
And the 23-year-old could be in line to face Shrewsbury in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.
Oscar wrote on Instagram: “Ready for the match! Tudo pronto pro jogo! #ComeOnChelsea #CFC #Oscar8 @chelseafc”
Oscar has enjoyed a promising start to the Premier League season, scoring two goals and making two assists in seven Premier League appearances.
Earlier, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho confirmed that Diego Costa wouldn’t make his return to first-team action in the League Cup fourth-round clash.
“I think so. QPR, one week more, I hope so.
“The virus is fine. It was hard when Costa went to hospital and obviously it doesn’t help to recover from the injury. But he didn’t come [to Old Trafford] because of the injury, not because of the virus.
“He aggravated the hamstring because he played two matches in three days and was not with us.”
