Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski looked in good spirits as Arsenal trained on Friday ahead of their Premier League trip to Sunderland.

Arsene Wenger’s men head to the Stadium of Light on Saturday looking to bounce back from the disappointment of last weekend’s disappointing 2-2 draw with Hull City at Emirates Stadium.

Wenger hinted on Friday that Walcott could play a minor part against the Black Cats following his lengthy lay-off due to a knee problem.

Walcott has not played for Arsenal’s first-team since January and may be more likely to make his comeback against Burnley next weekend.

Podolski looked cheery as Wenger’s men were put through their paces at Arsenal’s London Colney training base after the Germany international netted the vital winner for the Gunners at Anderlecht on Wednesday night.

Here are some of the best pictures from Friday’s training session.
