QPR ready to shock Chelsea again, declares Harry Redknapp
Harry Redknapp is confident that his QPR side can cause an upset at Stamford Bridge on Saturday
Harry Redknapp is backing his Queens Park Rangers side to become the first team in the country to beat Chelsea this season.
The Hoops travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday on the back of their 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Loftus Road on Monday after a run of five games without a win.
They’re the team to beat this season for sure, but we’ll give it a go
Jose Mourinho’s side are flying high at the top of the Premier League table and have dropped just four points so far this term.
Indeed, the Blues have not lost a game since their Champions League semi-final defeat by Atletico Madrid back in April.
However, Redknapp, whose side were 1-0 winners at Stamford Bridge in January 2013, is confident QPR can secure a positive result against the leaders.
“We pulled off a shock last time, let’s hope we can pull off another this weekend,” said Redknapp.
“We’ll need a top performance, they’re the best team in the country, the team to beat this season for sure, but we’ll give it a go.
“It’s a London derby and we’re ready for the game. We want to put on a performance for our fans.
“We’ll take 3,000 fans to Chelsea – they’ll be very important for us. We want to get a result for them.”
