Yaya Sanogo was happy to see his team-mates claim victory at Anderlecht
Yaya Sanogo praised a “nice gift” for Arsene Wenger as the Arsenal manager celebrated his 65th birthday with a dramatic Champions League victory at Anderlecht.
The Gunners game from a goal down to win 2-1 in Belgium thanks to last-gasp strikes from Kieran Gibbs and Lukas Podolski.
And Sanogo took to Facebook after the game to praise the north London side’s fighting spirit.
Sanogo wrote: “Nice finish! Very hard to win against Anderlecht but we did it. Thank you Arsenal. Nice gift for the coach!!! Second of the group now. #COYG.”
The 21-year-old French striker has made two Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season.
He is yet to score a competitive goal for the north London club.
