Adam Lallana: Top four would be remarkable feat for Liverpool

Adam Lallana believes Liverpool can finish in the top four

Adam Lallana says a top-four finish would be a “remarkable achievement” for Liverpool.

The Reds have struggled to replicate their impressive performances from last season, leaving the Merseyside outfit in 11th place in the table.

We still believe we can finish in the top four, it would be a remarkable achievement

Lallana has made a muted start to his Liverpool career after the midfielder completed a £25m switch to Anfield from Southampton in the summer.

And the 26-year-old playmaker is confident that the Reds can still battle their way into the Champions League spots at the end of the season.

“The season could have gone better so far. There was going to be high standards this season after what they achieved last time,” Lallana told BBC Sport.

“We are the ones that can change this and we are determined to do that. We still believe we can finish in the top four, it would be a remarkable achievement.”

Lallana has scored one goal in six Premier League appearances for Liverpool this season.
