Arsenal and Man United target Winston Reid not for sale, says David Gold
David Gold wants Winston Reid to sign a new West Ham contract
David Gold has informed Arsenal and Manchester United that West Ham United centre-half Winston Reid is not for sale.
The New Zealand international has been attracting interest from a host of top Premier League clubs following his impressive start to the season.
Reid has scored one goal in 11 Premier League appearances this term, helping the east London outfit to keep two clean sheets and rise to fourth place in the table.
And West Ham co-owner Gold took to Twitter to respond to Hammers fans’s concerns that the club could cash in on their highly-rated centre-half in January.
“@leighMrBsmall: why are we getting rid of winton reid? We are not 'getting rid' of WR we want him to stay and sign a new, contract. dg

Reid was voted West Ham’s player of the year in 2013, acknowledging his progress at the east London club.
The 26-year-old centre-half moved to West Ham from Danish Superliga outfit FC Midtjylland in 2010.
