Arsenal transfers: Gunners handed big Dennis Praet boost

The Anderlecht star's agent has hinted that the midfielder could leave Belgium next summer

Arsenal have been handed a boost in their reported pursuit of Dennis Praet, after the player’s agent revealed that the north London club would be a potential destination for the Anderlecht starlet.

Praet had a trial with Arsenal aged 16 but eventually joined Anderlecht, where he has developed into one of the Belgian club’s top players.

Now, the 20-year-old attacking midfielder’s agent has suggested that his client could be set to leave Anderlecht next summer, citing Arsenal and Liverpool as potential Premier League destinations.

“What can he gain by spending another season at Anderlecht?” said agent Jacques Lichtenstein.

“He can join the likes of Arsenal or Valencia, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid. He won’t play for just anybody though.

“Dennis is not far away from being at the level of Arsenal, where they would allow him a year to settle down.”

Should Arsenal sign Denis Praet?
