Sami Khedira has dealt Arsenal a blow by revealing that he cannot see himself leaving Real Madrid in the January transfer window.

The Germany midfielder, 27, was heavily linked with a move to Emirates Stadium over the summer but a transfer failed to materialise.

Khedira, who is out of contract next summer, has again been touted as a target for the Gunners as the January transfer window approaches, with Liverpool also reported to be interested.

However, the World Cup winner has played down he chances of him leaving the Spanish capital in the coming months.

“Right now, I cannot see any reason why I would leave the club this winter,” Khedira told Germany’s Kicker magazine.

“Real Madrid is a great club to be at. This club has a place in my heart and there is absolutely no reason for me to say that I want to or have to leave. I get the feeling I am still wanted.”

Where do you think will Sami Khedira be next season?
