Arsenal transfers: Sebastian Giovinco won’t join Fiorentina, says agent
Arsenal and Liverpool target's agent rules out a January move to Fiorentina
Arsenal and Liverpool target Sebastian Giovinco won’t be joining Fiorentina in the January transfer window, according to the striker’s agent.
The Italy international’s current Juventus contract is set to expire at the end of the season, alerting a number of Premier League clubs.
I doubt there is a chance that he may move in January
The 27-year-old Juve playmaker has made just four appearances in the Italian top-flight this term, struggling to impress new manager Massimiliano Allegri.
And Giovinco’s agent Andrea D’Amico handed the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool a boost after he ruled out a potential move to Fiorentina in January.
“There is absolutely no truth in that [move to Fiorentina], it’s fantasy football. At this moment there is no contact with Fiorentina,” D’Amico told Calciomercato.
“At this moment everything is standing still, and as the player himself already confirmed, I doubt there is a chance that he may move in January.
“At this moment there is no news on this topic [of his contract].
“The Bianconeri have not contacted us about this subject. There may be developments in the next few months, but of course I cannot know that now.”
