Calum Chambers could not hide his delight after netting the first senior goal of his career as Arsenal beat Burnley 3-0 on Saturday.

With the Gunners leading 1-0 thanks to Alexis Sanchez’s 70th-minute strike, Chambers turned home from close range shortly after to double his side’s lead.

Sanchez then added a third to add gloss to the scoreline and move Arsenal up to fourth place in the Premier League.

And summer signing Chambers, 19, was delighted to get on the scoresheet for the first time in his senior career.

“It was my first senior goal and a really proud moment for me,” Chambers is quoted as saying by Arsenal’s website.

“[The last one] was at youth level, but not at first-team level so I am really, really pleased.”
