Arsene Wenger hails Arsenal’s new-found defensive stability
The Arsenal manager was delighted to see his side keep a clean sheet for the second successive game
Arsene Wenger heaped praise on his Arsenal team for keeping their second clean sheet in a row at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Laurent Koscielny returned from injury as the north Londoners kept the Baggies at bay at The Hawthorns and Danny Welbeck’s 60th-minute header won it for the visitors.
Wenger, whose side lose 2-1 to Manchester United at Emirates Stadium last weekend, was delighted to see his side look more stable at the back.
“We have had three good performances [recently] and only got two good results,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.
“We responded well [since Man United] and had two cleans sheets after our defensive stability was questioned and we responded very well on that front.
“When you win in the Champions League and you have to travel away in the Premier League and you win again, you can say that you have done your job.”
