Cesc Fabregas salutes his Chelsea team-mates after flying start
The Spanish midfielder is thrilled with how he has settled in at Chelsea but won't get carried away
Cesc Fabregas has paid tribute to his “great” Chelsea team-mates following his flying start at the west London club.
The 27-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s standout performers following his £27m transfer to Stamford Bridge from Barcelona in the summer.
Fabregas has scored one goal and made 10 assists in 12 league games for Jose Mourinho’s men to help them lead the way at the top of the table.
But the Spaniard was keen to deflect praise onto his team-mates, before insisting that the Blues will not get carried away with their impressive start.
“I am playing next to great players and they are playing very well and are helping me,” said Fabregas.
“We have a young, talented team and the mood at the training ground is great.
“We know that for the next two months it is going to be really tough with a lot of games but the good thing about qualifying in the Champions League is we can concentrate on the eight games we have to 1st January in the Premier League.”
