Chelsea 2 QPR 1: Eden Hazard hails Oscar’s ‘beautiful’ goal
Chelsea forward says Oscar is always capable of scoring beautiful goals
Eden Hazard described Oscar’s first-half opener as a “beautiful goal” after Chelsea were 2-1 winners against Queens Park Rangers at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazil international broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute with a brilliant strike using the outside of his right foot from the edge of the QPR area.
Sometimes you cannot play good. At the end [of the day], it is three points more and we stay top of the league
Hoops striker Charlie Austin scored his third Premier League goal in two games to get the visitors back into the west London derby at Stamford Bridge.
However, Hazard netted the winner from the spot with 15 minutes remaining after the Belgian forward was fouled by Chilean winger Eduardo Vargas.
“Sometimes this guy can score a beautiful goal,” Hazard told Sky Sports News.
“The free-kick against Palace, and today his shot is very good.”
Hazard, who scored his third league goal of the season on Saturday, admitted Chelsea weren’t at their best against Harry Redknapp’s well-organised side.
Asked if Chelsea deserved the win, Hazard replied: “I don’t know but the most important thing was to get three points.
“Sometimes you cannot play good. At the end [of the day], it is three points more and we stay top of the league.”
Hazard continued: “We know it would be difficult. QPR played very well defensively, they had one chance and scored. After we came back into the game and we won.”
