Chelsea won’t finish second best too often this season, according to Tony Cascarino.

The Blues are four points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

I can’t see too many fixtures where I feel Chelsea would come back second best

Chelsea are yet to lose in the Premier League and Champions League, and Cascarino talked up their chances of going the season unbeaten.

“It’s very hard to find things Chelsea that don’t do well, whether that is defending [or attacking]. The goalkeeper has stepped in for Petr Cech and he has done superb. He looks so comfortable,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.

“In the forward area, we know what Costa can do already, Didier Drogba has come in and taken his opportunity and we know Loic Remy will get goals.

“We are as solid as hell in midfield with the boy [Nemanja] Matic and Fabregas, who we know what he does from his Arsenal days. It is very hard to find any weaknesses in their team.

“If you go back to last season, they lost at Palace and they won there this year, they lost to Everton and have won there this season, and they have already gone to [Manchester] City and United away [and not lost]. At home, Jose’s record speaks for itself, so I can’t see who is going to beat them.

“Southampton away could prove to be a tricky game because they are a good side. That’s a maybe, but I can’t see too many fixtures where I feel Chelsea would come back second best.

“You could end up trying to juggle around with Champions League football and get a few injuries, so they might not quite get over the line, but I can’t see too many teams getting the better of them.”
