Daniel Sturridge takes to Twitter after Liverpool training return
The Liverpool striker is thrilled to be back in training following his lengthy injury lay-off
Daniel Sturridge has admitted his delight at returning to training with Liverpool this week.
The England striker has not featured for the Reds since August after suffering thigh and calf problems but is now closing in on a return to action.
Sturridge said at the weekend that he is hoping to be fit for Liverpool’s clash with Crystal Palace after the international break.
And the 25-year-old took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon following his return to training.
Sturridge tweeted: “Training was class. Happy to be back. Thank you Jesus.”
Sturridge watched on as Liverpool were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
He has scored one goal in three games for Brendan Rodgers’ men so far this season.
