David De Gea responds to Man United exit speculation
David De Gea insists that he feels 'very loved' at Manchester United
David De Gea has insisted that he feels “very loved” at Manchester United amid reports linking the goalkeeper with a transfer to Real Madrid.
The Spain international has been touted as a target for the Champions League holders and it has even been suggested that he could be involved as part of a deal to bring Gareth Bale to Old Trafford next summer.
But De Gea says that he is unsure about whether Madrid are really interested in signing him – and the shot-stopper is staying focused on performing for United.
“I feel very loved at Manchester United,” De Gea told La Sexta.
“It’s difficult to know whether an offer will come from Real Madrid because there’s chatter in the press. I feel very wanted in Manchester.
“If you looked at what is said about you in the media, you would think you were at thousands of clubs, so you have to be focused on where you are.”
De Gea has kept three clean sheets in 11 Premier League appearances this season.
