David De Gea has praised Angel di Maria for the impact the Argentina international has had at Manchester United.

The 26-year-old has been in impressive form since joining the Red Devils from Real Madrid in the summer, scoring three goals and making five assists in the top flight for his new club.

And goalkeeper De Gea has been impressed by the way Di Maria has fitted in since his summer transfer.

“He is a great guy,” De Gea said of Di Maria. “He is so quick and trains very well.

“We have a great atmosphere in the dressing room and it’s nice to have some of the Spanish-speaking guys here.”

De Gea also reflected on his first title triumph with United in the 2012-13 season.

“It was unbelievable to lift the trophy,” he added. “I’ll always remember everything about that day.”
