Guus Hiddink says Daley Blind’s injury doesn’t look good after the Manchester United midfielder suffered knee ligament on Sunday night.

The Netherlands international hobbled off during the first half of an emphatic 6-0 victory over Latvia in their Euro 2016 qualifier.

And Dutch manager Hiddink, whose side are third in Group A, confirmed United’s summer signing Blind had suffered suspected medial damage.

“It doesn’t look good,” said Hiddink.

“It is his medial ligament. It could be a strain but also be a tear, so that is a big blow.”

Blind has been a first-team regular under Louis van Gaal following the versatile midfielder’s £16m switch to Old Trafford from Ajax.

The 24-year-old, who was voted the Dutch footballer of the year in May, has scored one goal in eight Premier League appearances.
