It’s nice to see Arsenal and Liverpool lose, says Christian Eriksen

The Tottenham midfielder was delighted to see some of Spurs' top-four rivals drop points this weekend

Christian Eriksen has revealed his delight at seeing Arsenal and Liverpool suffer defeats this weekend after helping to fire Tottenham to a 2-1 victory at Hull City.

Jake Livermore gave Hull the lead in the eighth minute before Spurs fought back thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Eriksen in the second half after Gaston Ramirez was shown a straight red card for kicking out at Jan Vertonghen.

Spurs’ win came after Liverpool slumped to a 3-1 defeat by Crystal Palace, while Arsenal were beaten 2-1 at home by Manchester United on Saturday.

“Normally they are [in] the top four teams, so it’s nice to see them lose,” Eriksen told Sky Sports.

“But right now I think there is a different top four teams. It changes a lot and a few wins and you’re up there again.”

Sunday’s win hoisted Spurs up to 10th place in the Premier League table on 17 points.
