Martin Odegaard has further fuelled the speculation linking him with a transfer to Liverpool by describing the Merseyside outfit as his “dream club”.

Brendan Rodgers sparked reports that the Reds could be set to make a move for the 15-year-old after revealing that he views the youngster as a “wonderful talent” earlier this month.

The midfielder is understood to have attracted interest from a host of European clubs, but Odegaard admits that he would favour a move to Anfield.

“Liverpool have always been my dream club,” Odegaard told Sport-Bild.

“But I won’t let this influence my decision when I choose a new club.

“It is about finding out which team is best for me and my development. That might not necessarily be Liverpool.”

He continued: “I have not really thought about my future yet. I will finish the season here [in Norway] and then visit a number of clubs. I haven’t made a final decision.”
