John Aldridge reckons the international break has come at a good time for Liverpool, allowing the Reds to regroup and get Daniel Sturridge fit.

Chelsea were 2-1 winners at Anfield on Saturday as Liverpool struggled to break down the Premier League leaders’s resilient back four.

The England international missed Liverpool’s last eight games after picking up a thigh injury in August before suffering a calf strain last month.

And Liverpool legend Aldridge is optimistic the Merseyside outfit’s fortunes will improve after the international period if they can keep Sturridge fit.

Sturridge, who scored 21 Premier League goals last season, took to social media to update Liverpool fans on his injury status following the 2-1 defeat.
