Liverpool fans will hope Alberto Moreno has recharged his batteries after a break in Seville with his parents and pet bull terrier, Ali.

Moreno has made a largely positive start to his Liverpool career despite two high-profile errors against Manchester City and Newcastle United.

The 22-year-old defender signed a long-term deal with Liverpool after a £12m move to Anfield from Europa League winners Sevilla in August.

And the Liverpool left-back appeared happy to be returning to Merseyside after a brief getaway in his hometown.

Moreno wrote on Twitter: “After a few perfect days in Seville with my people , back to Liverpool with my parents and my chubby # Ali # bullterrier. Good day”

Last week, the Liverpool defender took to Instagram to show off his pet Bull Terrier, which the Spaniard named ‘Ali’.

Moreno has scored one goal and made one assist so far for Brendan Rodgers’ men this season.
