Luke Shaw delivers latest Man United injury update ahead of Arsenal clash
Luke Shaw hopes to be fit to face Arsenal at The Emirates on Saturday
Luke Shaw is hoping to recover from a hamstring problem to be fit to face Arsenal at The Emirates on Saturday.
The Manchester United full-back lasted 66 minutes of England’s 3-1 victory over Scotland before being replaced by Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs on Tuesday night.
And the England full-back is hoping that playing a portion of the second half didn’t scupper the teenager’s chances of facing the north London side this weekend.
“I picked up a few knocks during the game and my left hamstring, which I hurt at the start of the season, I could feel a little bit,” Shaw told Sky Sports News.
“We had a discussion at half time over whether to bring me off then but it was a game I didn’t want to come off in so I played the extra 15 minutes and then Roy decided to sub me off.”
Shaw added: “We will just have to see but I am hoping to be fit.”
Shaw has made six Premier League appearances following a £27m move to United from Southampton.
