Daley Blind is having to forgo the Champions League this season, but the Manchester United midfielder is still taking a keen interest in Ajax’s progress in the competition.

The Netherlands international has impressed for the Red Devils after completing a £16m move to Old Trafford from the Eredivise champions in the summer.

The 24-year-old midfielder forged many good memories with the Dutch side, and one of the standout moments was their 2-1 win against Barcelona last term.

And Blind reflected on Ajax’s famous victory as he took to Instagram to wish Frank de Boer’s side good luck against the La Liga outfit on Wednesday night.

Blind posted: “Great memory of last year! Goodluck Boys!! #AjaBar”

The 20-time English league winners failed to qualify for this season’s Champions League after a surprise seventh-place finish.

Blind has scored one goal in seven Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.
