Daley Blind has taken to Instagram to update Manchester United fans about the knee injury he sustained on Sunday night.

The 24-year-old Netherlands international was forced off during the first half of his country’s emphatic 6-0 victory over Latvia in their Euro 2016 qualifier.

Holland boss Guus Hiddink admitted that the injury “doesn’t look good” after the game, with the Manchester United man apparently suffering knee ligament damage.

And the player himself posted a photo on Instagram after the game to give the latest update about his situation.

Blind shared the picture above and wrote: “I’m proud of my 25 games for the Dutch national team, but I’m so gutted with my injury… I’ll stay positive en will come back stronger! Nevertheless a great win, 6-0!”

Blind has been a first-team regular under Louis van Gaal following the versatile midfielder’s £16m switch to Old Trafford from Ajax.

The 24-year-old, who was voted the Dutch footballer of the year in May, has scored one goal in eight Premier League appearances.
