Man United transfers: Miranda knows ‘nothing’ about Red Devils interest
Miranda plays down reports of interest from Manchester United
Miranda insists he knows nothing about interest linking the Atletico Madrid defender with a move to Manchester United in January.
The Brazil centre-half has been one of the surprise packages in Europe following the emergence of Diego Simeone’s side as a force over the past two years.
Miranda was a key figure for los Rojiblancos as the Madrid side won La Liga and finished as Champions League runners-up last season.
However, the 30-year-old defender, who has two years remaining on his current Atletico deal, played down reports of a potential move to United.
“I know nothing about it,” Miranda told AS.
“I just know that I want to finish my contract with Atletico. This is my club. I still have two years [on my contract] and I’m very happy there.”
Miranda has La Liga, the Europa League, Uefa Super Cup, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup since moving to Atletico from Sao Paulo in 2011.
