Mata, Blind and more: Twitter reacts as Man United beat Hull City
Juan Mata and Daley Blind both tweet their thoughts as Manchester United beat Hull City 3-0
Goals from Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie handed Manchester United a 3-0 win over Hull City at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Smalling opened the scoring when he scrambled home in the 16th minute, before Rooney made it 2-0 two minutes before half-time.
Van Persie then secured the points with a powerful strike in the 66th minute to keep Louis van Gaal’s side fourth in the Premier League table.
Saturday’s win prompted plenty of reaction on social media, and here are some of our favourite updates following the final whistle at Old Trafford.
Injured United star Daley Blind (@BlindDaley) is thrilled with the result: “3-0, that’s how it’s done! And what a fantastic screamer @Persie_Official #MUFC”
Fellow absentee Luke Shaw (@LukeShaw3) is also delighted to see the Red Devils extend their winning run: “Great win today from the lads! Hate not being involved but hoping I will be back soon!”
Winger Ashley Young (@youngy18) salutes a solid all-round display at Old Trafford: “A win, good performance and clean sheet #mufc.”
And finally, playmaker Juan Mata (@juanmata8) is a happy man: “Great win boys!! Really enjoyed on the pitch! @ManUtd”
