Matt Le Tissier has offered Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham hope after pointing out that the trio are just four points adrift of the Champions League places.

Premier League leaders Chelsea came from a goal behind to win 2-1 at Liverpool thanks to goals from Gary Cahill and Nemanja Matic at Anfield.

Spurs continued their disappointing home form after Stoke City were the fourth visiting team to win at White Hart Lane this season.

Everton, meanwhile, managed to avoid defeat at Stadium of Light after Leighton Baines’ second-half penalty cancelled out Sebastian Larsson’s opener.

The trio are level on points, although Everton lead in tenth thanks to their superior goal difference, while Liverpool occupy 11th place and Spurs are a spot behind in 12th.

And Le Tissier, whose beloved Saints side are 11 points clear of their top-four rivals in second place, offered Everton, Liverpool and Spurs some hope.
