Mesut Ozil: Why I trust Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger completely

The Arsenal playmaker has complete faith in his manager

Mesut Ozil insists that he has “complete trust” in Arsene Wenger and is backing the Frenchman to get the best out of him at Arsenal.

The 26-year-old playmaker been criticised for a number disappointing displays since the turn of the year after initially impressing following his big-money move to north London from Real Madrid last summer.

However, Ozil believes that Wenger is the right man to help him rediscover his top form when he returns from injury in the coming weeks.

“He [Wenger] knows what he wants and I know he can bring me a step forward; he trusts me in that way and I trust him, completely,” Ozil told Esquire.

“I’m proud to be part of this team.”

Ozil, who helped Germany win the World Cup in Brazil this summer, is currently sidelined with a knee injury he picked up at the start of October.

He said last week that he expects to be sidelined until late December at the earliest.
