Arsenal midfielder can't wait for another great European night
Aaron Ramsey is taking Anderlecht very seriously judging by his facial expression during Arsenal’s training session on Monday.
The Wales international played 27 minutes of the north London side’s 3-0 victory over Burnley at The Emirates in the Premier League on Saturday.
The 23-year-old is expected to feature against the Belgian side in the Champions League on Tuesday as Arsenal look to boost their hopes of reaching the knockout stage.
And Ramsey, who scored 16 goals in all competitions last season, took to Instagram to post about his excitement ahead of another big European night at Emirates Stadium.
Ramsey wrote: “Not sure about my facials but very focused on a big game tomorrow, I’m sure it will be a great atmosphere… can’t wait!!! #ChampionsLeague”
Earlier on Monday, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insisted Ramsey was not under pressure to repeat his goal-scoring heroics of last season.
“A midfielder is a player who defends well, attacks well and keeps his priorities right,” Wenger said of Ramsey, who has scored three goals this term.
“He’s not a goalscorer, so he has not to be obsessed by that. I just want him to do his job well. The goals are the consequence of the quality of his game. I don’t believe that he has to be obsessed by that.”
