Manchester United winger is thrilled 'to score' on his 200th Red Devils appearance

Antonio Valencia is claiming Manchester United’s opener at The Emirates after the Red Devils were 2-1 winners against Arsenal.

Gunners left-back Kieran Gibbs deflected Valencia’s cross past his own goalkeeper to hand the visitors a slender lead in the 56th minute.

United captain Wayne Rooney added a second five minutes before full-time, before substitute Olivier Giroud netted deep into injury-time.

And Valencia, who made his 200th Red Devils appearance on Saturday, claimed United’s opener as his own despite the midfielder’s wayward cross needing a helping hand from Gibbs.

“Thank god my score a goal more for my brother and for completing 200 games with manchester united,” Valencia wrote on Instagram.

Rooney also took to Instagram to revel in United’s “big” 2-1 win in north London.

“Big win tonight @manchesterunited!!” Rooney posted on Instagram.
