Alexis Sanchez appeared happy to put Arsenal’s woes to one side as the Gunners forward linked up with his Chile team-mates.

The 25-year-old has been Arsenal’s standout player so far this season, scoring 11 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions.

However, Sanchez was powerless to prevent the north London side suffering a 2-1 defeat at Swansea on Sunday, despite scoring the opener.

So no wonder the forward looked happy to be back on international duty with his fellow countrymen, posting a photo on Twitter.

Sanchez signed a long-term contract with the Gunners after the FA Cup winners agreed a £35m deal with Barcelona in July.
