Chelsea midfielder hails Oscar's first-half strike in a 2-1 win over QPR
Cesc Fabregas says he is proud of Chelsea after their 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers.
The Premier League leaders limped to victory over relegation-threatened QPR despite Oscar handing the Blues a first-half lead at Stamford Bridge.
Oscar broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute with a first-time shot with the outside of his right boot into Rob Green’s far corner.
However, the Hoops hit back through in-form Charlie Austin as the 25-year-old scored his third goal in two Premier League games.
But Belgium international Eden Hazard restored Chelsea’s lead from the penalty spot in the 75th minute after the winger was fouled by Eduardo Vargas.
And Fabregas, who moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, heaped praise on his Blues team-mates after the derby win.
“Proud of the team today. What a great goal by @oscar_emboaba,” Fabregas wrote on Instagram.
Fabregas has scored one goal and made eight assists in 10 Premier League games.
