Chelsea defender is amazed by Oscar's first-half strike
Filipe Luis lavished praise on Oscar after the Chelsea forward’s impressive strike in a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazil international broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute with a first-time shot with the outside of his right boot into Rob Green’s far corner for his fourth of the season.
QPR did equalise in the second half through Charlie Austin but 23-year-old Eden Hazard restored the home side’s lead with what proved to be a 75th-minute winner from the penalty spot.
And Luis, who moved to Chelsea in a £20m deal from Atletico Madrid in the summer, was thrilled with three points after a tough west London derby.
Luis wrote on Instagram: “3 more points, in a very difficult game. What a goal @oscar_emboaba”
Oscar’s Chelsea team-mate Hazard described the South American’s opener as a “beautiful goal”.
“Sometimes this guy can score a beautiful goal,” Hazard told Sky Sports News.
“The free-kick against Palace, and today his shot is very good.”
