Daniel Sturridge has ended his silence after the Liverpool striker’s latest injury blow.

The England striker hasn’t made an appearance for Liverpool since the end of August after initially picking up a thigh problem while on international duty with England and then suffering a calf strain.

Another door to break down. I’ll be back soon enough strong and ready to play

And the 25-year-old pulled up in training last Tuesday ahead of his return to action before Liverpool announced that their star man is set for another spell on the sidelines last week.

Sturridge, who is a prolific user of Instagram and Twitter, ended his social media silence on Monday afternoon, vowing to return a stronger player following his latest setback.

“Through all this I’m growing as a man and an athlete,” Sturridge wrote on Instagram.

“Everybody goes through things in their life that can make or break them. This for me is just another hurdle to jump over.

“Another door to break down. I’ll be back soon enough strong and ready to play. Thanks to everyone for your support.”

Sturrdige, who netted the winner against Southampton on the opening day of the campaign, scored 21 goals in 29 Premier League games last season.
