Juan Mata takes to Instagram to wish goalkeeper David De Gea a happy 24th birthday

Juan Mata was all smiles as he posed for a photo with David De Gea in Manchester United’s team hotel on Friday night.

The Spanish playmaker took to Instagram to wish his club and international team-mate a happy birthday after De Gea turned 24 on Friday, as the Red Devils prepared for their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Mata posted the picture of the duo above on Instagram and wrote: “Happy birthday @D_DeGea.”

Mata was not the only United player to use social media to wish De Gea a happy birthday on Friday.

Defender Marcos Rojo also took to Instagram to send his best wishes to the Manchester United shot-stopper.

He posted the picture below and wrote: “Feliz cumpleaños amigo / happy birthday my friend @d_degeaofficial.”
