The Arsenal forward is remaining typically upbeat despite his lack of playing time
Lukas Podolski is refusing to let his bit-part role at Arsenal this season get him down.
The Germany international has been limited to just four substitute appearances for the Gunners this season amid speculation about his future at the north London club.
Podolski was on the bench again on Saturday as Arsenal ran out 3-0 winners over Burnley at Emirates Stadium, with the 29-year-old making a late appearance as a substitute.
But the forward looked in good spirits on the bench as he shared a joke with Theo Walcott despite his lack of playing time.
Podolski posted the picture above on Instagram and wrote: “Theo said to me, ‘Lukas, what happens if the pitch gets flooded with rain?’ I said, ‘the teams bring on the subs!’ #Poldi #Theo #Aha #AFC #Fun #Smile #EnjoyLife #Redarmy.”
Podolski has played a total of just 46 minutes for Arsenal in the Premier League this season.
