Radamel Falcao has taken to Instagram to declare himself “ready to train” following speculation surrounding his fitness at Manchester United.

The Colombia international appeared to react angrily on Twitter to claims that he has been struggling with a knee problem in recent weeks.

However, the 28-year-old striker posted the picture above on Tuesday afternoon and wrote: “Ready to train with the best motivation.”

Reports in the British media on Monday claimed that the Colombia international has had to have his knee iced at the end of every training session.

The Instagram photo below was used with the reports, with Falcao appearing to conceal what could be an ice pack under his training jacket.

However, the striker, who missed Saturday’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, apparently denied the reports via a message on the social network.

Falcao tweeted on Monday: “One fool speculates. A few others lacking objectivity respond and millions believe lies.

“It is disastrous what a few fools can do.”

Falcao has scored one goal and made two assists in five Premier League games for Manchester United this season.
