Marcos Rojo allays Man United fears after injury scare
Manchester United defender thanks his Twitter followers for their support after injury setback
Marcos Rojo has reassured Manchester United supporters that the defender’s injury is not serious after he was stretchered off during Sunday’s derby.
The Argentina international was forced off early in the second half after suffering a shoulder injury following an attempted tackle at The Etihad.
United manager Louis van Gaal appeared to suggest that Rojo would be set for a spell on the sidelines following the 1-0 loss to Manchester City.
“His shoulder is out,” said Van Gaal.
“We don’t know how long that will take. I have to wait until Monday. But he shall not play against Crystal Palace [next Saturday], I don’t think.”
However, Rojo took to Twitter on Sunday night after to thanks United supporters for all their good wishes, adding that the injury isn’t too serious.
