Suso heaped praise on Rickie Lambert after the Liverpool striker scored his first Reds goal at Selhurst Park.

The 32-year-old striker broke the deadlock in the second minute as he netted his inaugural Liverpool goal after a £4m move from Southampton in the summer.

However, Liverpool couldn’t defend their lead as Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle levelled in the 19th minute in south-east London.

And Spanish playmaker Suso took to Instagram to rally his Liverpool team-mates.

“Well done Ricky!!!!! 3 points come on lads,” Suso posted on Instagram.

Suso hasn’t featured for Liverpool since a penalty shootout victory over Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup in September.

The Spain Under-21 international joined Liverpool from Cadiz in 2010, making his first-team debut under Brendan Rodgers against Young Boys in 2012.
