Brendan Rodgers and Suso embraced at Melwood training ground as Liverpool geared up for their crunch clash against Ludogorets.

The uncapped Spaniard made his return to first-team training after the 21-year-old underwent a groin operation at the start of October.

Liverpool are bidding to end a four-game losing run in the Champions League and Premier League after a 3-1 reversal at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Reds need to beat Ludogorets to boost their chances of reaching the knockout phase after defeat by Basel and losses home and away to Real Madrid.

Liverpool have failed to qualify from the group stage twice in eight previous Champions League campaigns (2002/03 and 2009/10).

In the 2001, Liverpool found themselves in an identical position in the second group stage with three points after four matches. The Reds still managed to qualify as group runners-up with seven points.
