Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado reflect on Tottenham's last-gasp win
Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado couldn’t hide their delight at Tottenham Hotspur’s last-gasp win after Christian Eriksen’s strike sealed a 2-1 victory over 10-man Hull City.
Former Spurs midfielder Jake Livermore gave the Tigers a first-half lead before Gaston Ramirez was sent off for kicking out at Jan Vertonghen after half-time.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side grew in confidence following the red card, and Harry Kane levelled from close range before Eriksen netted from 20 yards to seal three points on the stroke of full-time.
And Argentina international Lamela was thrilled to make the journey back to London with maximum points after a testing encounter.
“Important win today!! Returning to london very happy , up the spurs !!!” Lamela wrote on Instagram.
Roberto Soldado, who missed a host of chances at KC Stadium, was similarly ecstatic to see Tottenham snatch victory in dramatic circumstances.
The Spurs striker posted: “Great win in the last minute.Come on,3 points very important!!COYS”
