Radamal Falcao hails Man United’s ‘important’ win in top-four race
Radamel Falcao hails Manchester United's vital win at The Emirates
Radamel Falcao has hailed Manchester United’s important win in the race for a top-four finish after the Red Devils were 2-1 winners at Arsenal.
The Gunners were punished for wasting a host of chances in the first half as Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs put the ball into his own net in the 56th minute.
United captain Rooney, who scored three goals during the international break, finished a sweeping counter-attacking move to double the visitors lead with five minutes remaining.
Arsenal substitute Olivier Giroud, who was making his first appearance since suffering a broken leg in late August, scored what ultimately proved to be an injury-time consolation.
And Falcao, who has been suffering a calf injury in recent weeks, took to Twitter to praise his Red Devils team-mates after the club’s first away win of the season.
Very important win today in a hard field that let's us keep fighting for our goals.
