Mauricio Pochettino says he isn’t fazed by recent criticism of the Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs have made a mixed start to the season after managing to win just four of their 10 Premier League games.

We have a clear way, a clear philosophy

However, Pochettino, who was named as Tim Sherwood’s successor in May, is adamant that he won’t change his philosophy.

“It’s a good thing to be criticised for a manager,” Pochettino said. “All managers in the world are criticised.

“Sometimes it’s difficult to have all people agreeing with you and to make everyone happy – we are all referees, we are all managers, we are all journalists, sometimes.

“It’s my job. I am calm, I know what my way is, how we need to manage our players and our squad. We have a clear way, a clear philosophy.”

Pochettino added that Tottenham can’t underestimate Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Every game is different, a different moment,” Pochettino told ESPN. “We know Asteras at home is a difficult team, a strong team.

“Their supporters are brave and we expect a very, very difficult game. Different, sure, to what we played in London. It will be a very important game for Asteras Tripolis, but don’t forget we also want the three points.”
