Laurent Blanc has lifted the lid on his admiration for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The Denmark international has been one of the north London club’s most-impressive players this season despite Tottenham’s struggles in the Premier League.

Eriksen has scored four goals in 12 Premier League appearances, including a dramatic winner to help Spurs beat Hull City 2-1 at KC Stadium on Sunday.

But Paris Saint-Germain manager Blanc has been a keen admirer of the playmaker since he broke through at Ajax, earning a £11m move thanks to his eye-catching performances.

“Ajax have always had players I’ve liked enormously, some of whom have left. One of those is Eriksen, who now plays for Tottenham,” Blanc is quoted as saying by London Evening Standard.

Eriksen has scored 11 goals in 37 Premier League games following his move to White Hart Lane in 2013.
