Vlad Chiriches says he is unhappy at Tottenham Hotspur after a lack of first-team opportunities at White Hart Lane.

The 25-year-old Romania international has made three appearances in the Europa League and Premier League this season.

Chiriches, who hasn’t featured for Spurs since 2 October, is behind Younes Kaboul, Federico Fazio and Jan Vertonghen in the pecking order.

And the Tottenham centre-half Chiriches admits he is finding it very hard to cope without regular football at the north London side.

“I don’t know anything about the links, but now I can’t say I’m very happy at the club because I’m not in the team and it’s hard for me,” Chiriches told Sky Sports News.

“But I think I can improve my game and I can play.”

Chiriches has scored one goal in 27 appearances in all competition for Spurs following a £7m move from Steaua Bucharest in 2013.
