Yaya Sanogo was the toast of Arsenal fans at The Emirates after the Gunners striker helped fire his side to a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Arsene Wenger made the bold decision to start the 21-year-old ahead of experienced Lukas Podolski for the visit of Jurgen Klopp’s dangerous Dortmund side.

But Sanogo repaid his manager’s faith inside two minutes as the forward combined with Santi Cazorla before poking a finish past Roman Weidenfeller.

Arsenal’s 2-0 win sealed their place in the Champions League last 16 for the 15th consecutive season as Wenger aims to win the competition for the first time.

And popular Gunners YouTube channels, ArsenalFan TV, uploaded a video of the club’s supporters cheering Sanogo outside Emirates Stadium after their comfortable win.

Gunners manager Wenger was similarly pleased with the youngster’s performance against the 2012 Champions League runners-up.
